Black Butt

The Black Butt tree is native to South Eastern Australia. It is identified by its bark - halfway up the trunk it is rough and brown, transitioning to a smooth white bark for the upper part of the tree. It flowers from September to March each year and its leaves are an important food source for the Koala.
