Hold your scarf in place by putting the back magnet inside your top! This way your brooch, scarf & top will all stay exactly where you want them. This method would work with the locking back too, push the pin through the scarf & your top.

The top level is gold colour, mirrored acrylic. It’s beautiful in real life but tricky to photograph.
